ABRASION, EROSION AND CAVITATION PROTECTION

Areas that involve handling and flow of very hard particles are highly prone to abrasion. Protection of metal in such severe conditions is a challenge in itself. Duromax’s R&D support has produced coating with hardness upto 9 on Mohr’s scale (of hardness) which is only next to diamond. Along with hardness, Duromax products are imparted with high slip property due to reduced coefficient of friction. Abrasive particles tend to flow smoothly through the coated area thereby increasing the longevity.

Recommended Primer: Duromax Bondkote HT

For service temperatures up to 160°C, DUROMAX BONDKOTE HT is the primer for you. It is a novolac epoxy based abrasion resistant system that stands well against strong chemicals. Excellent substrate wetting ensures strong adhesion to even pitted metal surfaces.

Recommended Top Coat: Duromax Cerakote SL

Duromax Cerakote SL is a novolac epoxy based protective coating system. It is composed of fine grade hard ceramic particles which impart extreme hardness and abrasion resistance to the coating. Also, the resultant coated surface offers smooth, slippery surface which significantly enhances the flow of material and prevents coagulation.
